Did not finish it because it was insanely boring to me I don t know what I was really expecting but this is clearly not it To be honest, I think if there is a Pirates for Dummies book, it would definitely be better than the Idiot s Guide, judging from Sherlock Holmes for Dummies, which I ve just read recently Nevertheless, I would give it another try when I can find the book in the library again.

A neat, well organised and fairly comprehensive starter for anyone wishing to understand pirates and piracy.I chose this book as the first of a series of reference texts for writing a novel Despite a few typos in the ebook edition, it s been a terrific primer Recommended for anyone wishing to begin at the beginning.

This book is quite informative I love that it has so many historical tidbits that you can t or don t find anywhere else However, because it is a book of basics, it can be hard to read at times.
