I m a little conflicted on this one, Jackson was an asshat in book 1 to his youngest brother Jayden and it seems he was also a bully as a teen. Now, teenagers do stupid things, they are young and peer pressure is a huge thing, but physically attacking and threatening rape is a HUGE deal, now, Jackson didn t do that, but he hung out with the boys who did and he was at least a silent witness and condoned it with his behavior I m sure I would have liked him better, had he really changed, but he was [...]

There HAS to be a synonym for mate that Ms Griffin could have used The word was so overused that it took a lot away from the story The story was very rushed to get Aiden and Jackson into bed my opinion.

I enjoyed this book, but something was lacking,,, not sure what It just didn t appeal to me as much as book 1

I m thinking this series might also run as necromancers are just people, too which I admit I like This volume in particular is a good follow up to what we ve seen of Jackson and his flaws previously. The thing with these books is that I really want to like them There s a good story, interesting ideas, and characters I could come to care for But the execution somewhat messes with that. For such a short story a surprising amount is taken up by detailing mundane actions that have no relevance to the [...]

3 1 2 4 HeartsReview written for MM Good Book Reviewsmmgoodbookreviews.wordpress This story is part of a series and best read in order Aiden never got the chance to say goodbye to his lover, so on the recommendation of his boss he makes an appointment with the Thompson Agency But the appointment doesn t go as planned when he runs into someone from his past, some who made his life a misery Jackson has done some things in his past that he regrets, when the victim of his bullying period comes into [...]

Jackson is a necromancer, with the ability to raise people from the dead for short amounts of time It is long enough so that people can say a goodbye, get a question answered or maybe allow the dead to complete something unfinished Aiden s lover died of a heart attack very suddenly and Aiden didn t get closure His boss suggests he allow the Thompson Agency to help, to raise Brendan so Aiden can say goodbye His boss s mate, Jayden, is a Thompson, so the consult is made On a last minute switch, ho [...]

3.5 StarsI liked this one better than I thought I would, because I wasn t a fan of Jackson in the first book He swayed me though in this one But, he was kind of a spoiled whiny kid if you ask me Sorry, I don t do pity parties very well and Jackson was clearly throwing a lot of them BUT, Addy Aiden NO I don t like that nickname coming from Jackson I thought Jackson s dad was a dick in this one though Father or not, that s your son s mate I was stunned at how disrespectful he was, even after Aiden [...]

This second book in the series was a disappointment Paradoxically slow, yet rushed, I was expecting there to be conflict regarding Aiden and Jackson s past, however there wasn t any other than one punch Yes, they re mates And yes, we re told they lust after each other, but I for one couldn t feel any heat or passion between them Add to this, too much telling and not enough showing, a lame 10 page mystery that tried and failed to add any tension to the story and I guess the word for this book wo [...]

Not as good as the first book but still enjoyable The pacing was slow when I reached the middle third of the story Plot wise, I think the reformed bully falling in love with the person bullied in the past and then pursuing the said bullied party is already overdone, even with the added paranormal spice Still, I have high hopes for the next instalment as I love this author I hope it will be better.

Another nice breezy read, would have liked it to be a bit longer wasn t even 100 pgs But it was really nice to read a book where not all of the characters weren t OMG SO OOOOOBERLY BEAUTIFUL Sorry that gets a little tiring after awhile, I really liked that Aiden saw himself as just this average looking guy nothing special and yet to Justin he was the most incredible man he d ever met, but that s just me I ve always believed that when you find that special someone it s not about finding someone w [...]

I forgot what it was that annoyed me about the first book in this series until it struck me that it was supposedly set in Darwin The capital of the Northern Territory could be an interesting place to set a paranormal story, but this is so lacking in place that I wonder why it is even mentioned Throwing in a few Australian terms is not enough It is Darwin, USA than Darwin, Australia.

3.5 Stars A bit slow and it didn t grab me like the first book did.
