Unfortunately I read this spread out over several weeks monthseven though it is not very long Such was my life this spring This added some insight into the whole Benghazi debacle, but it still left a lot of things unanswered I ve been completely intrigued with this scandal and it IS a scandal since it occurred nearly 9 months ago I ve been blown away by the MSM s dismissal of the story, the left s game of politics, the administration s flippant attitude, and the fact that is still not resolved T [...]

Finally, the truth comes forward Excellent report After watching the bizarre and shocking news about Benghazi for months, the analysis and political mystery behind the attack and the lies covering it up were getting very stale and sickening This book by Murphy, Webb and others contributing who understand the insider intrigue behind the scenes of intelligence, special ops and diplomatic security and who see the conflict between our own intelligence agencies and the administration have painted a c [...]

This is a must read for all American citizens who fear for the loss of our founding principles, ie, the Constitution.A hard hitting account of the events leading to the Benghazi attack and murders, combined with analysis of what went on and how US foreign policy is destroying our own nation due to egos and rivalries and black ops that only a few people are ever aware of at least until all hell breaks loose. Also a touching homage to the four victims of Benghazi, this is a succinct and no holds ba [...]

Just finished this book This is an independent view of the Benghazi tragedy It becomes very clear, very quickly that the Dept of State, DOD and the Pentagon have less communication in this administration and have a view of do nothing and see how things play out.It also becomes very obvious that the leader of the Dept of State at the time has no business leading anything.I must read for anyone voting in the 2016 election.

    3.25 stars

For my review via the MIPJ mipj 2 post 2013 02 beNote from MIPJ Publisher Executive Editor While many in humanitarian affairs may not read reports, books, or other works about intelligence and or military operations, inclusive of special forces operations, these are inherently important Such operations and intelligence gathering are part of an overall context on the ground This case of the attack on the U.S State Department compound in Benghazi is thereby significant, as it was preceded by attac [...]

Challenge is to read this without feeling sickSick of the incompetent political animals operating at the highest levels of our government This is a rare straightforward look at the events leading up to the attack, the details of what happened and the motivations for the cover stories and myths that we all heard.

No, Hilary nor Obama had much to do with what went on Great book.

The events of September 11th, 2012, suffered the effects of happening in an election year The opposition party attempted to use it as political capital to cash in at the voting booth, and the ruling party did its best to sweep it underneath the rug Media outlets have either aired narratives that have no factual basis or have lauded the current administration without asking the tough questions that their predecessors of lore would have For a while, it seemed that the entire event had been swept u [...]

The good thing about this book is that it tells the actual story of the attack itself in a clear and understandable way I do think I understand much better now what happened to our temporary mission and Ambassador Stevens But it is written as if narrated by a Special Forces guy, with colloquialisms galore And it is a mess in terms of organization the book is very short and ends right after recounting the attack, then appends a cast of characters which should have gone up front if anywhere, then [...]

Interesting background on the country of Libya and its history along with some of the recent behind the scenes work by the special operations forces that kicked up the retaliation against the U.S in Benghazi The book comes across as rather balanced with plenty of blame to go around for the outcome Much of the retelling of the events of that day in September is apparently based on contacts high in the government and also in the special forces The heroism and bravery of the men who gave their live [...]

The authors interviewed a lot of folks that were involved in the attack on the American consulate in Libya Unfortunately, most of the interviews are anonymous because they are not authorized to be talking about this, so you have to take the authors at their word regarding what was said They seem to do a good and fair job of explaining the chain of events and assigning blame where it needs to be May not be the definitive report it claims to be, but it is the best we re going to get for a long tim [...]

Informative and understandableI had no idea, and I read great deal, about the amount of warfare taking place on the African Continent That alone made the book valuable as I will search for information The book makes clear the we lost four grave and extremely talented individuals in Benghazi I am profoundly disappointed in the public outcome of the various investigations in the Congress It seems like there are many lessons to be learned and from the impressions left by the authors, few if any ta [...]

This was a slightly interesting account than the State Department s version I think it takes quite a bit of hubris to suggest this is the definitive report, and that it will take years to improve upon what is contained here If that is truly the case, we know a lot about what happened in Benghazi on 9 11 12.I would have given it four stars except the author editorializes several times in the account, and shows he is not rational when it comes to John Brennan And that puts some of the rest of the [...]

Tedious readThis is the second book on Benghazi that I have read The first book was written as a narrative, while I found this one like a textbook I jokingly told my husband that I needed a doctorate in political science to understand this book I don t think I m far off The one part that I did enjoy the most was the authors reflection on who possibly was to blame for the events at Benghazi.

This report is riveting Why people bury their heads in the sand and why main stream media ignores Benghazi is beyond me This goes along with 13 Hours at Benghazi Bret Baier did a great job hosting an hour special on Michael Zuckoff s book Unfortunately the audience of Benghazi The Definitive Report is small and the deniers of truth run the other direction I would highly recommend Benghazi The Definitive Report to anyone seeking the truth.

I liked this book Informative But it raises as many questions as it answers I believe it accurately reconstructs the context and events as they happened but the unknown factors that the authors bring to light are fascinating Overall a good read and quick Just be ready to have questions afterwards.

A must read on BenghaziFor those who want truthful unspun insight into why the terror attack on Benghazi took place and who was responsible, this book will be extremely enlightening Plus, it gives an eye opening account of what goes on behind the scenes in the U.S Government I would suggest reading this book in conjunction with 13 Hours.

Blessedly short, I read this as a follow up to Fred Burton s Under Fire account, a denser but thoughtful book I didn t appreciate the author s surly style and am bothered by both the account of the discovery of Sean Smith s body as different from the thorough UF and, that the identification of Stevens body deserved much than its brusque abbreviation.

This is an excellent book I have seen the men who went in and tried to save the Ambassor and his staff I believe them, they were there The whole process of the State Dept is appaling, they do not take their risk assessments seriously, then something bad happens and they all lie and cover their butt These brave contractor heroes are retired after this mess.

Riveting and fascinating, it dispels many myths about went on, Obama and Clinton probably not as bad as portrayed, but many mistakes were made Fascinating history pathway laid out that makes it clear hundreds of underlying factors were at play.

Very detailed and hard to follow for those of us who have little knowledge of the intricacies of government military operations Created a lot of concern than one or two can have so much freedom to fight wars that are undeclared and unknown.

What really happenedAn account on the events which took place in Benghazi and how involved the USA really was Removes the myths and speculations the media had made to deceive the public of the truth.

    Katrina Sealey
A highly informative look at the history of Libya and Northern Africa as well as the political background surrounding the September 2012 attacks on the US consulate.

    Marty England
This First Person Account Sure Beats TV NewsAnd the former Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, the chief architect of this debacle, wants to be the President of the United States.

    Larry Cassesa
Excellent detailed look at the events surrounding Benghazi 2012 09 11 I would recommend this book to anybody who plans on casting any judgement on the events that day.

I wasn t there of course and certainly am not an expert but the account of Benghazi presented here seems believable and plausible Certainly far than the White House Fox News versions

Perfect answer to all the lies that where told to us It does however require you to do research.

    Travis Rask
Interesting read, as I previously knew very little about the Benghazi incident. The complete lack of sourcing affected its rating.

Did not answer every question I have but is likely the closest thing to the real truth we will ever get in my lifetime.
