This short story has an emotional feel to it All good, bringing us closer to the characters and fills in a few tiny holes we are curious about with the characters Amnoch makes me smile when he talks of the two boys, Thannuel and Artious We see touching moments for both couples mixed with humor as well I loved the balance of the love and fun between all four Thannuel, Moira, Artious, and Kalisa We get to see how Thannuel feels of his mind splitting when he talks to Artious about it He also talks [...]

I found the Dying Lands Chronicle by accident as I was looking for a new book to read after completing Brandon Sanderson s Mistborn series I found a blog while searching another topic and one of his posts was about Circle of Reign and that lead me to buy the audible version of it and I was impressed and have since read the Altar of Influence as well and will follow this series to completion It is an intriguing story and this of course could easily be added to the Altar of Influence as a couple [...]

As the book description says, read Altar of Influence before delving into this novella, as you would be very lost in the story and some things possibly spoiled. This story gives the reader a better understanding of young Kerr and Roan following their near death experience at the hands of the Marishee and Kerr s relationship with Moira The story of the Gyldenal is also expanded through Amnoch s exploits as well as introducing some very interesting new aspects to the world. One can t go to far in de [...]

Having found Jacob Cooper and his amazing novel Alter of Influence early on, it has left me always hungry for , and in this he has delivered The love between Moira and Thannuel is beautiful and having so briefly met them in the full length novel and wanting desperately to get to know then since they both seemed like such truly amazing characters, definitely left me craving backstory and I can t thank Jacob enough for fulfilling that craving So worth spending the money and time on picking Remnan [...]

I have not read the other books in this series, and despite warnings to the contrary, I was not lost If anything, I am hungry for and will probably start Circle of Reign tonight This short story is satisfying, yet it leaves a lot of unanswered questionsnd of like an epic movie trailer I am now ready to delve into the series and find out what happens to the House Kerr Do Moira and Thannuel live happily ever after and how the struggle between Lumenatis and the Ancient Dark unfolds.

Any great fantasy will live or die by the feel of history and rapport we the audience feel for the characters Here Cooper adds some depth to a character we met so briefly in his great Debut novel, further allowing you to feel his pain and relate to the world and other characters I enjoyed the quick read of Remnants, passing along tidbits to better enjoy the next book and the last It is a great start to glance at Remnants if you are on the fence about reading Altar of Influence, and I recommend b [...]

I know some people hate the small stories that are set apart from the full length novels and that are priced similarly to the aforementioned novel But here you get to dwell deeper in the world Jacob Cooper created and for the cost of a hamburger from the dollar menu Highly recommended A steal for the price and leaving me hungry for .

Yet another great piece by Mr Cooper in an ever expanding universe of its own, this particular addition fleshs out great and loveable characters as well as expanding on subtle ones For 99 cents on you cant go wrong getting lost in a great short like this I highly recommend Jacob as a great author, good guy, and wonderfully creative individual.

This is another short story from Jacob Cooper, and it basically just adds a little backstory and development to the prequel Altar of Influence with ramifications on the main book in the series, Circle of Reign This would be an interesting read for those working on the main series, but not a book that can stand alone on its own merits.

Interesting short storyThis book short story adds some interesting background to Altar of Influence and seems to lay the groundwork for what must be coming after Circle of Reign.
