If you need 80s post apocalyptic YA in your life and who doesn t , give this a go I can t imagine a much complete devastation than the Clordian Sweep, but the charmingly resilient heroines will make you feel hopeful, even though the only animals left in the world are the bees, rabbits, and chickens whose eggs were frozen in the bunker And probably some cockroaches Full review at parenthetical 2009 01

a book i remembered enjoying reading as a child that i managed to track down and rereade first half of the book is about a girl who has to go with her father and brother to restock an underground unmanned military base they get stuck there during a massive blizzard, and the outside world gets destroyed by aliens the second half of the book is about one of the girls descendants, and how they re spreading out and replanting the world i enjoyed the first half and wished there was there.

Very quiet post apocalyptic story No battles, no resistance, just humans trying to figure out life in the wake of alien attack Read this in middle school, and it took me many years to once again find it Glad I finally did.
