Hello, and welcome to the world of Aysha-Zen.
Based in Eastleigh, Hampshire, just minutes from the M27 and the M3. Our cats are our beloved pets before anything else, and rule us in our home as an integral part of our lives.
We sometimes have kittens for adoption to loving permanent homes. They are raised underfoot around the hubub of a busy household, and are always on hand to provide oodles of play and cuddles!
I am a member of the TICA Burmese Breed Committee, a Founder Member of the Novice Breeder Advice Cat Club (NBACC), and also a member of the Burmese Cat Club, and the Burmese Cat Society. I have previously served on the committee of the Tonkinese Breed Club and the Tonkinese Breed Advisory Committee.
In May 2007, I joined The International Cat Association, TICA, and now show in both GCCF and TICA. Our stud boy Harry is the first (and at present only) entire Burmese TICA Triple Grand Champion in the UK. His full title is now GCCF Grand Champion & TICA Triple Grand Champion Ayshazen Hisfathers Eyes. We are intensly proud of him and hope he will progress to even higher things in the not too distant future.

Our name "Aysha-Zen" comes from our first Burmese girl Angisan Zea Asiantwilite (Asia - now spayed and remaining with us as a beloved family pet, she even still nurses her great-grandchildren!) and our very first Bengal kitten, Gaylee Zena, who tragically passed away in September 2000, aged just 8 months.
Having kittens from our girls is all about love and NOT financial gain. There is only one more special feeling than being loved by a Burmese, and that is to return that love and to nurture and rear their wonderful babies. Having kittens around is an incredibly rewarding experience, although it is hard wark, and an expensive hobby. Contrary to popular belief, raising kittens rarely produces profit, 9 out of 10 ethical cat breeders run at a loss.
We are committed to furthering the very best of the classic Burmese breed, preferring this type to the "ultra" short faced type. We share with many, a concern that the breed is changing, and are trying hard to preserve the breed as it has always looked.
We do not inbreed our lines, preferring to outcross as much as possible. In fact our Harry and Violet originate from a quite rare older Burmese line.
