N.B. There is a website that is quoting the cost of Khao Manee in the UK to be £8,000-£10,000. This is complete fantasy, and totally inaccurate. Take a zero off that figure and you may be nearer the correct cost..

Introduction

Established in 2009, the Khao Manee Cat Club is the first cat club in the world dedicated exclusively to this beautiful white cat, a natural breed, native to Thailand.

Our aim is to promote the breed, both within the UK and overseas, to pass on knowledge, and to encourage responsible ownership, breeding and showing of these beautiful and intelligent cats. We pledge to promote friendship and camaraderie, and to encourage mentoring

The Royal Khao Manee breed is dwindling in numbers in its native Thailand, and we aim to encourage breeders to import new lines from the mother country in a bid to expand the genepool, and therefore ensure the preservation of the breed.

The club also provide€s breed information, a bi-annual newsletter for members, and online breeder, kitten and stud lists.

At present, the KMCC is an independent club, although it is our intention to apply for affilliation with the GCCF.

BUYER BEWARE. Please note, that if you are considering purchasing a Khao Manee kitten, you are advised to either a) ensure that the cat is TICA registered, or b) that you obtain sight of Thai travel papers for the kitten or its ancestors. There are breeders currently operating, that are selling kittens with no Thai Khao Manee in their ancestry, and calling them Khao Manee.
